Ballerina With Pink TuTu

I will paint on anything! Sometimes I paint Cezanne's on envelopes and send them (in envelope with other mail) to my relatives. I call them 'cezanne-velopes' (corny I know). Sometimes I practice or try out new ideas on cardboard. The paintings do look wonderful when finished and framed.

Myra Anderson

You can never paint the exact same thing twice but here is a composition that I enjoy painting again and again entitled 'Little Ballerinas After The Dance'.

Myra Anderson

This is a 12x16 oil painting that I did on canvas panel. It is entitled 'ballerina after the dance'. Did you know: In the 1800's Degas had added something new to art - a surprising view of the little known world of the ballerina.

Little Ballerina - Pencil

This is a small pencil drawing that I did entitled 'the little ballerina'.

Mary Dolph Wood

This beautiful painting is by Mary Dolph Wood

Scott Mattlin

'Kayla In Studio Light' by Scott Mattlin. Did you know: About the year 1820, dancers first went sur la pointe. When Marie Taglioni, the first ballerina to wear a romantic tutu danced on point, the great romantic ballet period had begun. The Ballet Book

Liz Lindstrom

Liz Lindstrom - Snow In Shadow. Did you know: At first, all of the ballet dancers were men, but in 1681, women finally appeared on the professional stage - playing minor roles. By the mid 1800's however - they had completely taken over and were dancing most of the male roles as well! The Ballet Book

Vasili Bratanyuk

This beautiful painting is by Vasili Bratanyuk entitled Olga Pavlova. Did you know: The Academie de Danse, the first school of dance was founded in 1661. It was at this school that the first five positions of the feet were worked out. As a matter of fact, so many positions were created and named there that French remains the language of ballet all over the world. From the Ballet Book by Andrew Ptak

Ballerina In Pastel

I 'painted' this pastel on black paper. A dear person purchased this for her ballet studio. Did you know: Ballet grew slowly over a long period of time. Italy, home of many great artists, was the birthplace of formal dancing and what was popular in Italy soon became popular in France. From The Ballet Book by Andrew Ptak

Ballerina With Red Bow

I painted this 5x7 oil on canvas panel entitled 'ballerina with red bow'. I hope to paint more of these with different color tutus.
